Why Join PTA?

We know that children learn more and have better lives when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts, information and work on projects to benefit the students. By becoming a member of Herrington Elementary PTA, you can become an important part of helping to ensure that these plans become a reality.

What are the Benefits in our Schools?

Ultimately, PTA provides the opportunity to serve, to volunteer and to contribute to the welfare of all children, because children represent our future. PTA will introduce you to a great variety of new activities and opportunities to share your special talents. PTA will give you opportunity - not only to impact your local community, but to have input in major legislative and policy issues affecting children throughout the state. Membership gives you a voice. Exercise your right to vote. Get involved.

PTA VALUES

COMMITMENT

We are dedicated to children’s educational success, health, and well-being through strong family and community engagement, while remaining accountable to the principles upon which our association was founded.

COLLABORATION

We will work in partnership with a wide array of individuals and organizations to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.

DIVERSITY

We acknowledge the potential of everyone without regard, including but not limited to: age, culture, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, legal status, marital status, mental ability, national origin, organizational position, parental status, physical ability, political philosophy, race, religion, sexual orientation, and work experience.

RESPECT

We value the individual contributions of members, employees, volunteers, and partners as we work collaboratively to achieve our association’s goals.

ACCOUNTABILITY

All members, employees, volunteers, and partners have a shared responsibility to align their efforts toward the achievement of our association’s strategic initiatives.

Do I need to volunteer my time as part of PTA?

No! While we appreciate everyone who volunteers their time for us, we know that it's not always possible. By paying your membership fees, you are contributing to the PTA and the school. The money from your fees goes towards all the events we host, field trips we pay for each grade level, school supplies and so much more. Also, part of your membership contributes to the voice of the PTA in both Federal and State Legislation. You are making a difference!

Personal Discounts and Benefits through your PTA Membership!

Your PTA Membership includes several personal discounts and benefits through many local companies. From resort locations to national stores, use your PTA Membership Card to save money on the things you love.
